PAS has set up a fund to help those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, including frontliners.

The “Central PAS Covid-19 Disaster Fund” will be handled by a secretariat consisting of personnel from the PAS national welfare committee, the PAS national health committee and PAS emergency and disaster management service (Khidmat Malaysia).

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said office bearers at every level will have to conduct collection drives.

Those who wish to contribute can do so through the Parti Islam Semalaysia (Khidmat Malaysia) bank account (MBB: 5642 9431 0529) with the reference “Tabung Covid PAS Pusat”.

“PAS urges both individuals and private companies to contribute to the fund which would be used by those in need,” said Takiyuddin.

The fund will be launched by PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man in an online ceremony tomorrow night.
