A majority of new cases in Johor (52 percent) and Kedah (72 percent) were from new clusters.

Deaths

Of the 13 deaths, there were three each in Sabah and Selangor, followed by Johor (2), Terengganu (2), Negeri Sembilan (1), Kuala Lumpur (1), and Sarawak (1).

Two of the deceased were 38 years old, while another two were aged 40 and 45.

Two of today's victims were non-citizens.

Clusters

There were 17 new clusters classified today. Overall, 477 clusters remained active.

Three clusters had more than 100 cases, namely Perdana (155), Jalan Air Hitam (108), and Tanjung Suria (101).

The Tanjung Suria cluster was first announced in early December and involves the districts of Sepang, Gombak, Kuala Selangor and Hulu Selangor.

It now has 1,794 cases in total.
