A Bersatu Youth figure Adam Asmuni has been charged under Section 39(B) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 last Friday.

According to Kuala Lumpur city police chief Saiful Azly Kamaruddin, the 35-year-old Adam was slapped with one charge related to the Act, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment.

"He was slapped with one charge under Section 39B at the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex on Jan 29," he told Malaysiakini.
