COVID-19 | The Health Ministry has reported 5,298 new cases of Covid-19 as of noon today, and 14 deaths.
This is the third straight day that cases have exceeded the 5,000 mark.
Meanwhile, there were 4,522 patients discharged, a new record. There was also a record high number of intubated patients.
The current national Covid-19 death toll stood at 760.
The number of cases in Selangor has eased below 3,000.
According to the Selangor Health Department, the Petaling 1,020 new cases - including 411 case in the Damansara sub-district, and 402 cases in the Petaling sub-district.
Meanwhile, Johor cases have exceeded 1,000 for the third time. Previously the state reported 1,103 cases on Jan 7, and 1,069 cases on Jan 27.

Deaths
Of the 14 deaths, 12 were from Selangor, one from Kuala Lumpur, and one from Sarawak.
Based on their patient numbers, seven of the deaths were cases that were reported yesterday.
