- Casa Tiara Serviced Apartment, Subang Jaya, Selangor
A resident of Block B tested positive for Covid-19 today, the management said in a notice to residents.
Sanitation of common areas and frequently touched surfaces are underway.
- Tivoli Villas Condominium, Bukit Bandaraya, Kuala Lumpur
A technician and three security guards here tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice to residents today.
All security guards are now in quarantine while the management office, technician storeroom, control room, guardhouse, guard posts, common toilets, surau, lifts and other common areas are to be sanitised.
- Kampung Pulau Lima, Pasir Puteh, Kelantan
A new Covid-19 cluster was detected at this village, according to the Health Ministry.
In a statement, it said that the index case was first found positive on Jan 10, before contact tracing discovered nine more positive cases.
The cluster had since been named Pulau Lima Cluster, based on the name of the village where the index case lives.
- Petalz Residences, Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur
A resident of Tower A tested positive for Covid-19 and is in home quarantine, the management said in a notice to residents today.
Other family members are also in home quarantine, it added.
Lifts and other common areas will be sanitised as soon as the sanitising company is available, it said.
In the meantime, the lift which was used by the infected resident yesterday will be closed.
However, the resident assured that he did not touch anything within the lift and had sprayed the lift with his own sanitiser after using it, the management said.
- i-Stay@Indahpura and i-Stay@Senai Airport City workers dormitories, Johor
20 residents at i-Stay@Indahpura and two at i-Stay@Senai have tested positive for Covid-19.
This is according to an announcement to Bursa Malaysia by Ame Elite Consortium Berhad, which owns i-Stay Management Sdn Bhd.
Ame Elite Consortium has arranged for a separate quarantine centre for the affected residents, who were not sent to the hospital.
All affected units, common areas, and frequently touched surfaces have been sanitised, it said.

- Kampung Bagan Lalang, Sepang, Selangor
Sepang Bersatu division chief Suhaimi Ghazali, who was tested positive for Covid-19 several days ago, had attended an event at this village on Jan 10.
The event was organised by Sepang Perikatan Nasional to give school students a free haircut.
According to a media report, Suhaimi had posted on Facebook on Saturday announcing his Covid-19 test results and said that all his close contacts would be contacted by the Health Ministry.
- Pekan Dengkil, Sepang, Selangor
This is another event organised by Sepang Perikatan Nasional to give school students a free haircut, which was attended by Sepang Bersatu division chief Suhaimi Ghazali who has since tested positive for Covid-19.
- Bayu Puteri Apartment, Tropicana, Selangor
Several residents at two units of Block A and a unit of Block C have tested positive for Covid-19 over the past few days, the management said in a notice to residents.
All common areas and frequently touched surfaces in those three blocks will be sanitised, it said.

- Segamaha Complex palm oil plantation, Kinabatangan, Sabah
The Health Ministry today announced a new infection cluster was detected at this palm oil plantation.
According to Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, a screening exercise conducted on workers found 58 positive cases so far.
- Construction site at Jalan Nipah, Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur
Targeted Covid-19 screening by health authorities at a construction site here found 29 positive cases.
According to the Health Ministry, they have so far screened 517 individuals.
Checks online found that ongoing construction at this location is for the 3rdNVenue @ Embassy Row project.
- Village Grocer, Melawati Mall, Kuala Lumpur
Two staff members from the grocery and bakery sections of this supermarket tested positive for Covid-19 today and were at the supermarket earlier in the day.
The supermarket is closed from 4pm for sanitation and all staff members will undergo Covid-19 testing, it said on Facebook.
Services will resume tomorrow at 10am.
- Selayang Wholesale Market, Selayang, Selangor
Fish stalls at this market have been ordered to close until Thursday after multiple Covid-19 positive cases were detected at the premises.
According to Hoi Seong Fish Wholesaler Association president Sing Kian Hock, authorities have found 93 cases so far.
It is learned that operators from other sections of the market are also being screened for the virus.
- Al Rajhi bank, Shah Alam, Selangor
An employee here tested positive for Covid-19 today after feeling unwell since the end of last week, the bank said in a circular.
Those who had close contact are undergoing tests and will quarantine for 10 days, it added.
- Sungai Way Market, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
According to Lim Yi Wei, who is the Selangor state assemblyperson for Kampung Tunku, a couple who operates a stall at this market was found positive for Covid-19 last week.
Following this, the Petaling district health office has carried out a risk assessment on-site and ordered for the operators of seven other stalls there to undergo home quarantine until Jan 22.
The Petaling Jaya City Council has carried out disinfection at the market, together with the Serdang volunteer fire brigade.
- Al Rajhi Bank, Bangsar Affluent branch, Kuala Lumpur
Two employees at this branch tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, after developing symptoms at the end of last week.
Other employees who had close contact with them will undergo screening and 10 days quarantine, the bank said in a circular.
The bank said it has increased frequency of disinfection and cleaning in high traffic areas on a daily basis.
- UOB Jalan Meru branch, Klang, Selangor
An employee of the UOB Privilege Banking Centre in Klang tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 16, the bank said.
As such the bank's branch and office at Jalan Meru will be closed until further notice, but self-service facilities are operational as usual.
Staff will undergo Covid-19 tests and observe home quarantine while the branch will undergo deep cleaning.
OFFICES
- Pusat Perniagaan Worldwide, Shah Alam, Selangor
A case was detected today at Level 7 of Block 2, the management said in a notice to tenants.
- Wisma Yokogawa, Taman Industri Pusat Bandar Puchong, Selangor
The office is closed for disinfection until Jan 20, after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 16, the management said in a notice.
Employees who had close contact have been ordered to undergo screening and quarantine.
- Q Sentral, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur
An occupant at Level 42 tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice today.
The person was last at the building on Jan 12.
The affected unit, common areas and facilities will be sanitised, the management said.
This is the third case here this month.
- Menara Axiata, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur
An employee at Level 23 tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 16.
Disinfection of areas on that level is underway, the management said in a notice.
- Pantai Business Park, Jalan Pantai Baharu, Kuala Lumpur
An employee at a unit here tested positive for Covid-19, Malaysiakini confirmed.
The employee has not been on the premises Jan 8 and the affected unit has been closed since the start of the movement control order on Kuala Lumpur came into force on Jan 13.
FACTORIES AND INDUSTRIAL AREAS
- Lee Soon Seng Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd, Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor
Two production floor workers tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 16, during routine screening.
Mass screening will now be carried out for all employees, said the company's parent firm SCGM Berhad in an announcement to Bursa Malaysia.
Production was halted on Jan 16 and 17. Workers who were found positive were isolated while mandatory quarantine was imposed on close contacts.
The production floor, corporate office, cafeteria, hostel, guardhouse, and other common areas have been sanitised, it said.
It resumed operations today at 50 percent capacity comprising automated machines while all labour intensive operations are halted pending further instructions from the Health Ministry.
- Notion VTEC Berhad, Jalan Meru, Klang, Selangor
A total of 87 employees here tested positive for Covid-19, the company said in an announcement to Bursa Malaysia on Jan 15.
Disinfection has been done in the office, factories, hostels and cafeteria.
- SKP Resources Bhd, Johor Bahru, Johor
The company is shutting down operations from Jan 16 to 29 to facilitate Covid-19 screening of workers after several tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month.
The shutdown is expected to affect three percent of total annual input, it said in an announcement to Bursa Malaysia on Jan 15.
EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
- Pahang Matriculation College, Gambang, Pahang
The college is closed from Jan 17 to 23 after a Covid-19 case was detected on campus, the college said in a notice to parents, as reported by Sin Chew Daily.
No visitors are allowed, all students are not allowed to leave their dorms while lessons will be conducted online.
- Taylor's International School Kuala Lumpur, Maluri, Kuala Lumpur
A maintenance staff member tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, the school said in a notice to parents.
The staff member did not have direct contact with students but as a precaution, the school will close for three days starting today while all areas are sanitised.
Early Years and Year 11 students will learn from home until Jan 21, while others will continue to learn from home as they have done since last week.
All staff will work from home until Jan 21.
