BUSINESSES
- Club Aloha and Rubberduck Cafe, Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur
The gym and fitness centre confirmed that one of its instructors tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 31.
The instructor attended a class on Dec 29 and sat outside the Rubberduck Cafe before and after her class, the management said.
As such, both Club Aloha and the Rubberduck Cafe will be closed starting Jan 1 until further notice for sanitisation.
Tribe Boxing Studio, Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur and Tropicana, Selangor
One of the co-founders of Tribe Boxing Studio said in a statement yesterday that he tested positive for Covid-19.
He was last at the Tropicana studio on Dec 22 and at the Mont Kiara studio on Dec 29.
Both outlets have been closed since Dec 30 and will remain closed until further notice for sanitisation.
Union Strength, Hartamas Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur
The gym management said one of its members tested positive.
The member was last at the gym on Dec 29. Staff members had undergone screening and tested negative.
The gym will be closed until further notice.
- Several Flyproject gym outlets in Kuala Lumpur
The gym operator announced the temporary closure of five outlets at Intermark Mall, The Curve, Verve Shops, DC Mall and Kiara 163 in Kuala Lumpur starting today.
This is after two members and one staff member tested positive for Covid-19, according to a notice to members.
It said close contacts of the infected persons will be quarantined until they test negative for the virus while extensive disinfection works will be conducted.
- Jalan Perindustrian, Kulai, Johor
There have been six reported cases in the industrial area. The Health Ministry has named a cluster after the street.
RESIDENCES
- Skyvilla, D’ Island Residence, Puchong, Selangor
The condominium's management, in a notice, said a resident had tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday (Dec 31).
It added that the resident had been experiencing symptoms since Dec 27.
The management said the resident is under home quarantine while awaiting for follow-up from the health authorities.
It urged residents to limit their movements and assured that regular sanitisation is being conducted.
- Sunway SPK Damansara, Kuala Lumpur
The management said in a notice that a resident had tested positive for Covid-19. The patient has since been hospitalised.
- Prima Setapak Apartment, Kuala Lumpur
It was reported that a resident from Block B, Level 21 had tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 31.
The patient and family are still under quarantine in their house.
- PV20 Apartment, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur
It was reported that a resident from Block A had tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 30.
The patient and family are still under quarantine in their house.
- PJ Midtown, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
The management issued a notice on Dec 31 saying that a resident at Block B had tested positive for Covid-19. Sanitisation works have been carried out.
- Several residential areas, Kulai, Johor
The Kulai health department has reported several new cases. There has been one new case each in Merak and Nuri, Bandarputra in Senai, as well as one case each in Taman Muhibbah, Taman Aman, and Melati, Indahpura in Kulai.
OFFICES
- China Press office, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
An editor from newspaper China Press confirmed with Malaysiakini that he had tested positive for Covid-19 today.
He had attended a gathering on Dec 26 with MCA Public Services and Complaints Dept head Michael Chong, who had also tested positive yesterday.
