BUSINESSES
- Dataran PHB, Shah Alam, Selangor
The commercial complex management, in a notice to tenants, confirmed that its tenant Symrise Sdn Bhd had reported a Covid-19 case, who is a staff member.
The staff member tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 30 and have been isolated.
It said the affected area is Level 2 on Block B. It added that Block B was closed yesterday for deep cleaning.
- Pelita Nasi Kandar, Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, Selangor
Pelita Samudra Pertama (M) Sdn Bhd confirmed a staff member from its Plaza Masalam branch in Shah Alam had tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
It said the particular outlet is closed for contact tracing and sanitisation.
- Employees Provident Fund (EPF) office, Kota Kinabalu
The EPF said in a statement on Facebook today that their branch in Kota Kinabalu will be closed temporarily starting Dec 31 until further notice.
Though it said the branch was shut down upon orders from the Health Ministry to facilitate the disinfection and sanitisation process, it did not clarify whether there were any confirmed Covid-19 cases.
- Menara Public Bank, Kuala Lumpur
Public Bank confirmed in a statement that one of its employees from Level 10 of Menara Public Bank had tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 27.
The employee last reported for work on Dec 23.
Deep cleaning and sanitisation have been carried out while employees who have come into close contact with the patient will be screened and placed under home quarantine.
- Public Bank, Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Perak
Public Bank confirmed that an employee from this branch had tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 30.
The employee last reported to work on Dec 28 and is said to have contracted the virus from a family member.
The affected branch has been temporarily closed from Dec 30 and deep cleaning and sanitisation have been carried out in the premises.
Close contacts have also been placed under home quarantine.
RESIDENCES
- Pangsapuri Makmur, Bandar Sri Subang, Selangor
The management said in a notice dated Dec 31 that a resident from Block D tested positive for Covid-19.
The father of the patient visited the management office this morning to inform them of the case. The father is still waiting for his test results.
The management office will be closed immediately until sanitisation has been carried out.
- Rumah Uming longhouse, Meradong, Sarikei, Sarawak
A resident at the longhouse in Sungai Mador tested positive for Covid-19, according to the Borneo Post.
The 37-year-old man's infection was discovered while under a 14-day home quarantine as he had returned from Kuala Lumpur.
He was placed under quarantine on Dec 19 and underwent a second swab test on Dec 28 as part of conditions to end the quarantine. The results returned positive for Covid-19.
Sarawak imposes stricter quarantine rules compared to the rest of the country which does not impose inter-state quarantine conditions.
- Pelangi Magna Apartment, Kuala Lumpur
The management said there have been Covid-19 cases detected at Block A.
Sanitisation will be carried out in all affected areas.
- Lakeville Residence, Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur
The management confirmed in a notice dated Dec 31 that a resident from Tower B, Level 3 had tested positive for Covid-19.
Sanitisation and disinfection have been carried out in all common areas.
OFFICES
- The Boulevard Offices, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur
The building management confirmed there have been two positive cases detected, involving Peoplelogy Development Sdn Bhd located at Block A.
One staff member, who was last at work on Dec 20, tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 27. She had a family member who tested positive earlier.
Another close contact of the first staff member was also confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Dec 27. This staff was last at work on Dec 23.
Sanitisation has been carried out in the building on Dec 29.
- MCA Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur
MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Michael Chong had tested positive for Covid-19.
MCA has since closed the affected department on the seventh floor of the headquarters for disinfection.
All other staff from the same department has been asked to undergo screening.
