PLACES OF WORSHIP
- Masjid Kampung Atas Tol, Kuala Terengganu
The mosque is closed for three days after a congregant tested positive on Dec 13.
The man had attended Friday prayers there on Dec 11, Sinar Harian reported.
BUSINESSES
- Menara Suezcap 1, Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur
According to a notice issued by the building management, one of its tenants at Block E reported that one of its staff had tested positive for Covid-19.
The notice dated Dec 14 stated that all other staff of the company had since taken Covid-19 screening tests and were tested negative. They were nevertheless placed under a 14-day quarantine, and their office temporarily closed.
The building management has also carried out sanitisation works on all elevators and common areas. The tower remains open for business.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
- LRT Kelana Jaya Route
Two Rapid Rail employees who work at one of the LRT stations along its Kelana Jaya route have been tested positive for Covid-19 and have been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital, according to a statement issued by the company today.
It said that the station officers last came for work on Dec 12 and 13 respectively, but did not have any close contact with customers as they work inside a confined area. The company did not reveal which station the two staff were attached to.
All other employees who have been identified as close contacts were ordered to undergo screening tests and 14-day self-quarantine. Trains and stations are also frequently sanitised.
RESIDENCES
- Residensi Puchongmas, Puchong, Kuala Lumpur
A resident tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 13, the management said in a notice.
All common areas have been sanitised, while visitors and contractors are not allowed.
FACTORIES
- Wistron Malaysia Factory, Klang, Selangor
According to Klang Municipal Council (MPK) councillor Lee Fu Haw, hundreds of workers of this factory located in Bandar Sultan Suleiman have tested positive for Covid-19.
He said that the outbreak involving Wistron employees is linked to the Seruling Cluster, which has recorded 1,297 cases as of yesterday (Tuesday).
The company halted operations since it began screening activities for its employees early December and found a spike in the number of cases involving the workers.
GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS
- Menara Socso, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur
The Social Security Organisation (Socso) headquarters, all offices and business premises at Menara Socso, Jalan Ampang, are closed from Dec 14 to 18 for decontamination and sanitisation work.
This is after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
