Covid-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,937 new cases of Covid-19 today and nine deaths.
The Klang Valley reported the highest number of cases (54.8 percent) followed by Sabah (22.1 percent).
Cases in Johor also reached triple digits today.

While the vast majority of new cases in the Klang Valley were from known clusters or origins, it should be noted that 135 of these infections, or 12.7 percent, were classified as "lain-lain saringan" (other screenings).
This classification is an umbrella term for screenings on people with symptoms, pre-surgery screening, workplace screenings and pre-departure screenings, among others.
Of the nine deceased, four were from Sabah. The cumulative Covid-19 death toll for Sabah has reached 237 or 57.66 percent of the national total (411).
There were also three deaths in Johor. Details of the victims are as follows:

Patient 79,026 - Malaysian male, 65, remains brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital, Sandakan

The Health Ministry reported that the clusters with the highest number of new cases today were the Penjara Jalan Harapan (565 cases), Rumah Merah (112 cases) and Tapak Bina Berangan (69 cases)
The minister also reported three new clusters.
The Bukit Gemok cluster in Tawau, Sabah has 10 cases thus far. The index case tested positive on Dec 5.
The Tapak Bina Cendana cluster in Lembah Pantai, Titiwangsa, and Cheras, Kuala Lumpur has 11 positive cases thus far. The early cases for the cluster tested positive on Dec 10.
The Dang Mutiara cluster in Gombak, Selangor, and Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu has 10 positive cases thus far. The index case tested positive on Dec 9 after being screened at an oil rig.
