RESIDENCES

- Pangsapuri Sri Mutiara, Putra Heights, Selangor

Three individuals who live in different units at this apartment have tested positive for Covid-19 between Nov 29 and Dec 1, according to a notice by its resident association.

It stated that the individuals shared the same workplace, which is a food factory in Shah Alam. Malaysiakini has asked the company to comment on this.

Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) council member Mohd Tarmizi Lazim, who is in charge of the Putra Heights area, confirmed the notice.

According to him, all affected individuals have been taken to the hospital, and sanitisation works have been carried out at the location. The families have also been given assistance.

- Soho Suites KLCC, Jalan Perak, Kuala Lumpur

Two security officers working here have tested positive for Covid-19.

Disinfection is underway, the management said in a notice today.

This is the third case announced at this place in the past week. Earlier, the management said an office worker at Block B of Soho Suites KLCC tested positive for Covid-19 on Nov 29.

- Jalil Damai Apartments, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur

Two residents from a unit on Level 8 of Block C and a resident from a unit on Level 15 of Block A tested positive on Nov 28 and 29 respectively, the management said.

One of the infected Block C residents visited the management office on Nov 20, it said.

As such, the office has been closed from Nov 30 to Dec 2 to allow staff to undergo screening.

Disinfection has been done while the residents are no longer allowed to use the gazebo, playground and lounge chairs in the pool area.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Seberang Perai City Council, Penang

A council staff member tested positive on Dec 2, Oriental Daily reported.

Several departments including the landscape offices in the council building will be closed for disinfection.

Mayor Rozali Mohamud said the employee was last at work on Nov 25.

- Selangor Department of Land and Mines, Shah Alam, Selangor

A staff member of the registration department on the lower ground floor of this building has tested positive for Covid-19.

The case was detected through screening of close contacts by the Kuala Langat Health Department.

The person is believed to have been infected after close contact with a family member, who tested positive on Nov 28.

A total of 23 other staff members were deemed close contacts and have been tested. They are under quarantine.

All other staff on the same floor are also told to quarantine while the floor is closed for disinfection until Dec 9.


BUSINESSES

- Combi-Pack Sdn Bhd, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

Malaysiakini has confirmed with the company that several of its employees tested positive for Covid-19 recently. They were part of the Jalan Haruan Cluster which was announced by the Health Ministry on Nov 27.

However, according to a company executive who spoke to Malaysiakini, it could not be confirmed if all who were found positive under the cluster were workers of Combi-Pack, as authorities are also conducting contact tracing at other companies along Jalan Haruan.

As of noon yesterday (Dec 3), the cluster recorded 184 cases, with 395 people having been screened so far.

Combi-Pack is temporarily closed until further notice.

- Angsana JB Mall, Johor Bahru, Johor

At least one positive case was detected at this shopping mall.

According to a shop owner, a family member who operates a beverage business there has tested positive for the virus, and the other family members were ordered to take swab tests today.

The family member who tested positive last came to the shopping centre on Sunday (Nov 29), she said.

Malaysiakini contacted a senior management member of Angsana JB Mall but he declined to comment.
