- Five mosques and surau in Muar, Johor
According to a report by Oriental Daily, the Muar Islamic Religious Affairs Office has ordered five surau and mosques in the district to close temporarily due to Covid-19.
The order was issued last night to allow for disinfection activities after authorities found that a religious teacher who was positive for the virus visited the premises recently.
The premises affected are Masjid Sarang Buaya, Masjid Parit Jawa, Masjid Parit Pecah, Surau Parit Pinang Seribu, and Surau Sungai Gersik 2. They are expected to reopen today.
- Masjid Cahaya Iman Bandar Country Homes, Rawang, Selangor
A mosque committee member tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday (Nov 28).
According to another committee member, the man is believed to have contracted the virus from a family member. His wife was also found positive.
Following this, the mosque is closed for 14 days from Nov 28, and all committee members, as well as those identified as close contacts to the cases, have been ordered to undergo virus screening.
- Masjid Al-Asma'ul Husna, Johor Bahru, Johor
Those who attended prayers at this mosque in Bandar Uda Utama from Nov 22 to Dec 2 are urged to monitor their health for Covid-19 symptoms.
This is because a congregant has tested positive for Covid-19, the mosque committee said in a notice.
The mosque is closed temporarily for disinfection.
RESIDENCES
- Taman Pinggiran Delima, Hulu Langat, Selangor
A family of five who resides in a flat in this residential area tested positive for Covid-19 on Nov 22, according to Oriental Daily.
Following this, authorities have carried out disinfection activities at the flat area.
- Taman Pasdec Aman, Kuantan, Pahang
A hairdresser who operates her business from her home here tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
Confirming this with Malaysiakini, she said her family has undergone swab tests and are waiting for results.
She urges those who met with her from Nov 17 to Dec 1 to get tested and she apologises to all who had contact with her for any inconvenience caused.
BUSINESSES
- Resorts World Genting, Pahang
The company issued a statement on Nov 25, saying that one of its employees under the security department tested positive for Covid-19 a day earlier.
The case was detected during a routine screening of employees and contract workers.
According to the company, the affected employee worked at the company's warehouse and had no contact with guests.
Malaysiakini learned that a screening exercise that followed had since found another employee positive for the virus.
- Public Mutual, Menara Public Bank 2, Kuala Lumpur
It is learned that a Covid-19 positive case was detected at this office.
When contacted, the company's corporate communications unit confirmed that an employee was found positive yesterday.
They have since performed deep sanitisation on the premises. The Public Mutual office and other premises in the building remain open for business.
OTHER
- Ayer Panas Toll Plaza, Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway, Kuala Lumpur
The toll plaza will be closed in stages after a toll collector tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, Bernama reported.
"Therefore, highway users coming from Kuala Lumpur city centre, Sentul, and Gombak towards Ampang, Setiawangsa, and Wangsa Maju are advised to ensure their Touch n' Go and eWallet balance is always sufficient," the toll concessionaire Konsortium Lebuhraya Utara-Timur (KL) Sdn Bhd was quoted as saying.
