Below are verified locations that are reported to be affected today.

GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Dewan Negara, Parliament, Kuala Lumpur

Several Dewan Negara staff members have tested positive for Covid-19.

As a result, today's Dewan Rakyat proceedings will be shortened to 1pm while new rules will be set for the upcoming days.

De facto Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan says regular hours will be observed in the upcoming days.

- Pusat Tahanan Sementara Tawau, Sabah

A total of 104 cases have tested Covid-19 positive here, including 42 new infections today.

The index case was detected through screening of symptomatic individuals.

A total of 1,671 individuals were screened, while results for 1,567 are still pending. 


BUSINESSES

- 7-Eleven, M City Ampang, Selangor

The convenience store chain announced that a staff member at its M City Ampang outlet tested positive for Covid-19 today. The staff member last reported to work three days ago on Oct 30.

The affected shop will be closed for sanitisation until further notice. Those in direct contact with the staff member will be sent for screening and home quarantine.

- RHB Simpang Tiga branch, Kuching, Sarawak

An employee here tested positive on Nov 1, the bank said in a statement. The employee was last at the branch on Oct 30.

All other employees who had close contact are on home quarantine while the branch has been disinfected. 

- Burnin' Pit Restaurant, Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur

A customer here has tested positive, in connection with a Covid-19 case traced to a golf course, the restaurant said.

The restaurant is closed from Oct 28 until further notice. All staff are undergoing screening while the restaurant is being sanitised.

- Wisma Seberkas, Kuching, Sarawak

The building is closed from today until Nov 16, due to a Covid-19 case detected among workers there.

A closure notice by the Health Ministry was sighted at the building's entrance this morning.

Meanwhile, retailer PC Image confirmed the Covid-19 case at Wisma Seberkas but said its workers are not infected.

- Maybank Matang Jaya branch, Kuching, Sarawak

The branch is closed temporarily for sanitation after an employee was established to have had close contact with an individual who tested positive for Covid-19.

The close contact did not happen at the bank's premises, the branch said in a notice.


EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak

The Engineering Faculty is closed until Nov 12 and staff must work from home, after a suspected Covid-19 case was detected there, the university said.

Those who were part of the preparations for the Engineering Conference 2020 (EnCon2020) from Oct 25-26 are deemed to be persons under investigation (PUI) and must self-quarantine until contacted by the Health Ministry.

Those living in the same household with PUI or attended the following events are considered persons under surveillance and are urged to observe self-quarantine for 14 days:

  • EnCon2020 opening ceremony on Oct 27 or the rest of the conference on Oct 27-28
  • ProCEL workshop by the Unimas Business School at the Faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development on Oct 28
  • A pre-retirement course by Unimas Leadership Centre on Oct 27-28

The Engineering Faculty and the computer labs at the Faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development will be sanitised. 

- St Joseph's International School, Kuching

In a circular to parents yesterday, the school confirmed a student tested positive. The school was informed of this by the student's parent. The student was a close contact of the parent.

The authorities have been informed and contact tracing efforts are now underway. The school is expected to be closed for sanitisation between Nov 1 and 7.

During this time, the venue for the ongoing International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSCE) and A-Level examinations will be moved to St Joseph's Private Secondary School.


OFFICES

- UITM Holdings, Dataran PHB, Shah Alam, Selangor

A Covid-19 case was reported at UITM Holdings, located at Level 9 of Block A of this building, the management said in a notice to tenants yesterday.

The block is closed today for disinfection of common areas, while UITM Holdings has been instructed to disinfect its units.


RESIDENCES

- Jalan Tenaga, Labuan

A cluster of cases has been detected here.

A total of 57 out of 103 people screened here tested positive for Covid-19, while 46 results are still pending. 

- Suria Jelutong, Bukit Jelutong, Selangor

A resident at Block B has tested positive, the management said in a notice.

The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has conducted disinfection at common areas of the block and the affected residential floor.

- Pearl Avenue Condominium, Kajang, Selangor

A resident who has access to blocks A and B of this complex has tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 29.

The resident has been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for isolation and treatment, while the resident's family is in home quarantine.

All common areas have been disinfected, the management said in a notice.

- Shang Villa Condominium, SS7, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

A Covid-19 case has been detected here, the management said in a notice on Oct 30.

Blocks A and B have been sanitised.

All management staff have undergone Covid-19 screening while the annual general meeting scheduled on Sunday was delayed until further notice.
