After national carmaker Proton announced that one of its employees in a non-customer-facing role from its research and development department had tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 14, at least eight other positive cases have been detected within the company since then.

According to an internal memo sighted by Malaysiakini, all employees from the affected department have also been asked to work from home and self-quarantine for 14 days.
