The Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom), the local budget airline AirAsia Bhd and its sister long-haul carrier AirAsia X Bhd, have settled two suits that sought to compel both companies to pay RM2 million fines each.
On Sept 14, before two separate Kuala Lumpur High Courts, the parties recorded consent judgments in the matter, entailing Airasia and Airasia X each to pay the RM2 million fines in 18 instalments.
