Among the alleged reasons for MIC’s decision to pull out of Perikatan Nasional was its dissatisfaction with Bersatu’s Mohamed Azmin Ali.

According to a high-ranking MIC source who spoke on condition of anonymity, the decision was expedited by Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal’s call for vernacular schools to be phased out.
