1. Shipping traffic data showed that the China Coastguard has maintained a near-constant presence at Malaysia-claimed maters near Luconia Shoals, known locally as Beting Patinggi Ali.
2. The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) said Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin told a meeting with the group’s delegates that he personally hopes that the government will one day recognise the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), but urged parties to also understand Malaysia’s policies and circumstances.
3. Muhyiddin has unofficially won the Bersatu party presidency uncontested while Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu is the sole candidate for deputy presidency, but an official announcement will only be made in August.
