Civil societies and NGOs have expressed hope that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin will remain as committed to establishing an Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) as he was when he was still the home affairs minister under the Pakatan Harapan government.

“The prime minister, who was the home minister at that time, had given his commitment that the IPCMC will become reality and we hope that he will keep his word on this,” said Bar Council representative M Ramachelvam.
