Tasek Gelugor MP Shabudin Yahaya has been appointed as a deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of law and Parliament.

The Prime Minister’s Department in a statement said Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah had consented to Shabudin's appointment under Article 43(A) of the Federal Constitution.
