1. PKR has again rejected Dr Mahathir Mohamad as candidate for prime minister in event Pakatan Harapan and its allies manage to mount a countercoup against the Perikatan Nasional-led government.

2. DAP and Amanah revealed that PKR has failed to secure Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s support for the countercoup, and urged PKR to turn to its backup plan of choosing Mahathir as prime minister and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim as deputy prime minister.

3. PKR is allowing Anwar the latitude to hold discussions with anyone - even Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin - in its bid to recapture Putrajaya, while Mahathir said he will not break his promise to step down as prime minister.
