CORONAVIRUS | Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has issued an order to partially lift a curfew in all regions of the kingdom.

The curfew is lifted from 9am to 5pm, starting today till May 13, while keeping a 24-hour curfew in Mecca and in previously isolated neighbourhoods, state news agency (SPA) said this morning.

The order also allowed the opening of some economic and commercial activities, which includes wholesale and retail shops in addition to malls, from April 29 to May 13.

The government had previously imposed a full lockdown on the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, while other major cities had been subject to curfew in recent weeks. - Reuters
