1. Plans to allow barbers to operate during the partial lockdown has met resistance from the Health Ministry, and also a hairdressing guild.
2. The Higher Education Ministry was advised to be patient before allowing those stranded in student accommodations during the MCO to go home.
3. There were three new Covid-19 deaths, 184 new infections, and 165 recoveries.
4. Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob cautioned the public against breaching MCO or risk an immediate court fine or being brought to court right away.
5. The National Security Council has instructed the police and Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to take “stern action” against online media that misreport the news.
