CORONAVIRUS | The Selangor government has allocated RM297,050 to ease the burden of 5,941 heads of Orang Asli household in the state during the enforcement of the movement control order (MCO).
State Environment, Green Technology, Science, Technology and Innovation, Orang Asli and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Hee Loy Sian said the Orang Asli, who are from 74 settlements, will receive aid in the form of essential goods worth RM50.
“The essential goods such as rice, flour, cooking oil and sugar will benefit 22,992 Orang Asli in the state,” he said in a statement yesterday. - Bernama
