A patient who was reported to have committed suicide yesterday had tested negative for Covid-19, says Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
"It's not a Covid-19 patient, the test is negative. It's a suicide yes, there's a report of suicide, but it's not a Covid-19 patient," he told a press conference in Putrajaya today.
Noor Hisham said all patients under intensive care were given Covid-19 tests but in this case, it turned up negative.
The death is reported to have occurred at the Serdang Hospital yesterday.
Malaysiakini does not publish the methods of suicide in accordance with the Health Ministry's guidelines on reporting on such cases.
