CORONAVIRUS | Felcra Berhad today confirmed that a member of its board of directors (BOD) has tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement, it said the management took a drastic measure by instructing the workers based at the headquarters to work from home until Friday.
Felcra said the cleaning and sanitation process will be carried out at the headquarters.
The company has identified employees who came in close contact with the affected member and they are currently at the hospital undergoing screening tests.
Yesterday, the Health Ministry had announced seven new Covid-19 cases which could be traced back to Patient 26.
Patient 26 is a senior member of the Khazanah Nasional Berhad and UDA Holdings Berhad, who had also come in close contact with a former minister and former deputy minister but both were tested negative.
It is learnt that the Felcra's BOD member is one of the seven cases announced yesterday.

The bulk of the cases are in China (80,151 cases) where the virus first broke out, but it has now spread to other parts of the world.
Some countries are struggling to contain the virus and have seen an exponential increase in cases including South Korea (5,186 cases), Iran (2,336 cases) and Italy (2,036 cases).
