Federal Territories mufti Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri penned a prayer this evening which he shared on Facebook amid political uncertainties as Bersatu, GPS, Umno and PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali's faction gathered for separate meetings in the Klang Valley, sparking speculations that attempts are being made to form a new ruling coalition.
Umno leaders had rushed to their headquarters in Kuala Lumpur this evening after a scheduled retreat with PAS in Janda Baik, Pahang this morning.
Zulkifli, in the prayer (photo), asked that Malaysia remains peaceful and that its leaders are given guidance.
"I pray that Allah grants Malaysia peace and leaders are shown direction, guidance and patience.
"Allah, grant us the feeling of love for our country and strengthen our unity," read the prayer.
Zulkifli did not elaborate on the prayer but merely dedicated it to Malaysia, its people and leaders.
The Facebook posting has garnered more than 1,800 shares in less than an hour with over 700 comments.
