Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the data collected from the e-Tunai Rakyat scheme will not be abused for commercial reasons.

"The information collected is for the government and will not be shared with other companies," Lim said in Petaling Jaya this morning. 

Lim was at the SS2 wet market to promote the e-Tunai Rakyat scheme, which involved a government incentive of RM30 for new e-wallet sign-ups..
