As the clock struck the midnight hour, we left 2019 and welcomed 2020.

From all of us at Malaysiakini, we wish everyone - our readers especially - a very happy new year.

This past year, it has been our privilege and pleasure to share the Malaysian journey and yet another year of building a better tomorrow for our future generations.

While it has been challenging, with battles won and skirmishes lost, the hope yet lives on.

May 2020 be the year we see real gains on many fronts, in our fight against corruption for one.

We are working with a skeleton staff today, recharging our batteries before returning to the fray.
