Gabungan Mahasiswa Islam Se-Malaysia (Gamis) has called to ban Chinese educationist group Dong Zong for "treachery".
The movement's deputy president Mohd Zofrie Zulhilmie Ruslee said Dong Zong has a history of disrupting "racial harmony".
"Fellow Malaysians. Open your eyes! Witness how the treacherous DAP and its subsidiary Dong Zong are dragging the country towards ethnic problems," he said on his Facebook page today.
"Do not allow May 13 to repeat itself because of Dong Zong," he said, adding: "We will break down all the barriers of our unification to expel you from this country if you insist on it (stir up disharmony)."
Mohd Zofrie said DAP central executive committee member Lim Kit Siang's recent call for Gamis to be investigated was "proof" that Dong Zong was aligned to DAP.
"Since coming into power, they (DAP) are increasingly showing their treachery," he said, adding that university students should oppose and lumat (pulverise) the "traitors".
Dong Zong will hold a closed-door meeting on Saturday with Chinese groups on education policies, including the move to introduce khat (Jawi calligraphy) in schools.
However, this meeting has been interpreted as a protest rally against the Jawi script, which was once used throughout Southeast Asia.
Khat will appear in three pages of the Standard Four Bahasa Malaysia textbooks for 2020.
