If PKR president Anwar Ibrahim himself agrees with deputy president Azmin Ali not officiating the annual congress for the Youth wing, then that matter should be left at that, says vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin.
This is because, she said, the party president has the power to do as he likes.
The annual congress for the PKR Women and Youth wings are traditionally officiated by the deputy president.
"But if the president has given his blessing, then we shall leave it at that... because the president has the power to do as he likes," Zuraida said, as reported by Free Malaysia Today.
She was commenting on PKR Youth cancelling Azmin's invitation to officiate the PKR Youth annual congress a few days ago. The congress will now be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is also the PKR adviser.
PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasir had previously explained that his wing has the responsibility in delivering a clear message that they will stand strong behind the party leadership.
Meanwhile, Azmin had claimed that there were "hidden hands" involved in the cancellation of the invitation as it was cancelled before he received it.
He added that the PKR Youth would not dare do anything without "hidden hands" behind them.
However, PKR Youth vice-chief Syed Badli Shah Syed Osman claimed that Azmin had not responded to the invitation which was sent out more than a month ago.
Azmin's political secretary Hilman Idham then alleged Syed Badli was lying.
Earlier, Anwar had denied the allegations of "hidden hands" being involved in the cancellation and stressed that any changes were done through meetings, not through threats by any leaders.
The PKR Youth congress is scheduled to be officiated on Dec 6.
