Amanah women's wing head Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud was not nominated during the party's Puchong division re-election last night.
According to sources, there were 15 nominations for the 15 member Puchong division committee and hence, all nominees won without contest.
Siti Mariah had initially won a seat on the Puchong division committee when the first election was held on Sept 8, where she came in 12th.
At the time of writing, Malaysiakini has been unsuccessful in contacting Siti Mariah for comments.
It is unsure if she had opted out of the election or whether she failed to gain a nomination.
Siti Mariah was a two-time Kota Raja MP. Since 2018, she is the Selangor lawmaker for Seri Serdang and a member of the Selangor cabinet.
Amanah's election system requires the selection of a 15 member division committee, who will appoint specific positions among themselves.
In September, the party had ordered 81 divisions to hold fresh elections due to compliance issues with the Registrar of Societies.
