1. Universiti Malaya fell victim to another hacking, this time with the personal data of its staff, login IDs and passwords dumped online. The alleged hacker blamed the varsity for having weak security.

2. Activist Wong Yan Ke urged UM to retract its police report against him to prove the institution’s commitment to freedom of speech. The university, meanwhile, pledged to be more careful with future events following the uproar over the Malay Dignity Congress.

3. The father of murdered Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu expressed frustration over his family’s "endless suffering circle" in a letter written to mark the 13th anniversary of his daughter’s death.

4. PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution claimed there was circumstantial evidence of a plot to form a new government.

5. Bersatu Youth urged DAP to discipline grassroots members who chastised Education Minister Maszlee Malik for banning a comic book by former member Hew Kuan Yau. 

Bersatu Youth chief Syed Saddiq called Hew a racist for calling Malays who sympathised with Uyghurs, radical.

6. Syed Saddiq also announced an RM4 million federal allocation for Tanjung Piai's sports centers, allegedly to fulfil the wishes of its late MP.
