Air quality in Miri, Sarawak remains hazardous with an Air Pollution Index (API) reading of 379 as of 7am today.
This is higher than the previous recorded peak API reading of 352 at 10am yesterday.
In Kuala Baram, the air quality remained “very unhealthy” with an API reading of 283, up from 265 at 10pm last night. The reading was only a slight improvement from the "hazardous" readings recorded earlier yesterday.
Meanwhile, the API in Sri Aman, has also worsened to a “very unhealthy” reading of 235 as of 7am, from an “unhealthy” reading of 183 at 2am.
The majority of other locations around the country recorded moderate API readings this morning.
The Air Pollution Index (API) reading of 0-50 shows good air quality; 51-100 is moderate; 101-200 is unhealthy; 201-300 is very unhealthy, and over 300 is hazardous.
