Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad will periodically assess the performance of newly-minted MACC chief commissioner Latheefa Koya, says Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu.

The defence minister, who is also Amanah President, said he is confident the prime minister will listen to feedback and criticism on the appointment.

"I am confident the premier has paid attention (to the comments) on the manner which the appointment was made and turned these feedback and criticism into a test on Latheefa's wisdom in carrying out her duties...
