The onus is on Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) to explain its invitation to controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik to deliver a speech on its campus, says Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Cheng.

"I think (this question) is for the university to answer. It is part of their autonomy," she said when met at Parliament lobby today.
