Hamid had alleged several instances of judicial impropriety and accused certain judges of colluding with politicians and private entities to swindle public funds, triggering the government to form a Royal Commission of Inquiry on the matter.
Outgoing Bar president George Varughese also tabled two motions to be voted on - one calling for the immediate repeal of draconian laws and another calling for the Institutional Reforms Committee’s report to the government to be made public.
