1. PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has suggested that the head of a government-linked company had paid RM1.4 million to Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown on behalf of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.

2. Rewcastle-Brown said the money was placed in escrow with her Malaysian lawyer Americk Sidhu and she decided to go public on the matter after PAS denied paying her.

3. PAS information chief Nasrudin Hasan claimed that the Bank Islam account used to purportedly transfer RM1.4 million to Rewcastle-Brown does not exist.

4. Americk pointed out that the cheque was cleared through his client's bank account which meant that it was genuine.
