Former premier Najib Abdul Razak said he was waiting for PKR deputy president Azmin Ali to turn up in Semenyih last night.
“I was waiting for him to come to Tesco Semenyih last night. There were ice cream and biscuits, but he never showed up,” he tweeted this afternoon.
The former premier also posted a Kini TV video, which featured Azmin telling an audience that he is waiting to see if Najib would come to Semenyih.
Speaking at the launch of Wanita Pakatan Harapan's operations room in Semenyih on Monday night, the PKR leader said the Malays in the state constituency would not fall for Najib's antics.
“The Malays in Semenyih aren't the same as in Cameron Highlands. They're not Melayu pekan (small town Malays).
"That is why I want to see if 'Bossku' comes here or not.
“I will wait for you (Najib) in Semenyih, I will chase you and catch you and expose you as a thief of the country,” he had added.
Azmin also mocked Najib's “Bossku” moniker, which has gained significant traction on social media, saying the former premier should be known as “Pencuriku” (my thief) instead.
Responding to this when he met shoppers at Tesco Semenyih last night, Najib said: “I'm a thief who steals people's hearts."
On March 2, a by-election would be held for the Semenyih seat following the death of its incumbent from Pakatan Harapan, Bakhtiar Mohd Nor.
