Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin has denied being a graduate of the National University of Singapore.
"I have never claimed or held myself to be a graduate of NUS, and I have never authorised anyone else to do so," she said in a statement today.
Zuraida is one of several Pakatan Harapan government leaders whose academic credentials are being scrutinised by social media.
Many have shared an infographic by Bernama, which listed her as an NUS graduate. The infographic was created when she was appointed to the cabinet in May last year.
However, Zuraida told Malaysiakini that Bernama did not verify this information with her.
The PKR vice-president also stressed that she is not responsible for any edits to her Wikipedia page.
Checks by Malaysiakini found that an entry claiming Zuraida is "a social science graduate at one of Singapore's institutions of higher learning" was keyed in by an anonymous user on Jan 14.
The page then was edited again this afternoon by a user dubbed 'Pejuang Umno' to say that Zuraida was a graduate of Harvard University.
