Malaysia will be getting back some of the stolen 1MDB funds this year, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng announced today.

Though noting that the first return would be a small sum, Lim expressed his hope that it would lead to the return of more of the stolen funds.

"Malaysia will receive payment from (the stolen) 1MDB (funds)... this will not be billions (of ringgit), but this will be a start...
