The Economic Affairs Ministry headed by PKR's Azmin Ali is now overseeing 32 agencies in total, including state economic development corporations in all 13 states.
Other agencies include those involved in wealth redistribution such as Felda, Teraju, and Ekuinas.
In a statement today, the ministry said its priorities this year include completing a Parliament white paper on the Felda turnaround plan.
It is also working with the Finance Ministry to rebuild Tabung Haji.
It added that it is also in the midst of reviewing existing planning processes and mechanisms to improvement development planning in the country.
"The Economic Affairs Ministry has begun to prepare the post-2020 development framework to chart the direction of the nation’s socioeconomic development in the longer term.
"The ministry will spearhead several socioeconomic studies on future challenges, including a study on the Fourth Industrial Revolution in order to prepare the country to face future technological impacts that are expected to transform lifestyles," it said.
