Seremban police are investigating the cause of death of several dogs in a housing estate near here recently.

Seremban police chief Thiew Hock Poh said that police received a report from a 50-year-old man at 10.45pm last night, claiming that his pet dog was found dead in a back lane in Taman Lavendar Heights.

"The complainant in his report stated that he had left five of his dogs with a friend who also lived in the same housing estate.

"When he returned home on Dec 30 at 9pm, he found that one of his dogs had disappeared and the following day, found the dog dead at the back lane of his house,” he said in a statement today.

The complainant said that between Tuesday and Friday, he also saw two dead dogs near his house and suspected that irresponsible individuals had poisoned the dogs.
