Delegates at the Bersatu annual general assembly passed a resolution calling for Bersatu chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad to stay on as the prime minister for a full term.

Mahathir also revealed that Anwar did not pressure him on the matter, pointing out that Anwar had not raised the issue during their meetings.
Bersatu VP rebuked for advocating patronage
Bersatu Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman slammed delegates for demanding government contracts and positions at the party's annual general assembly.
However, Bersatu vice-president Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman, in a veiled response to Syed Saddiq, said objections against using government resources to retain power were "stupid".
Syed Saddiq's colleagues in Bersatu Youth later rebuked Rashid, stating that such views were not representative of the party's stance.
Mahathir also downplayed the call, stating that any contracts would have to go through the proper tender process.
