Batu MP P Prabakaran appears to be at loggerheads with a member of former Batu MP Chua Tian Chang's team.
Yesterday, Tian Chua's long-time aide Rozan Azen Mat Rasip announced that he was resigning as Prabakaran's secretary due to "a lack of mutual understanding" and alleged interference.
However, Prakabaran in a statement today claimed he had never appointed Rozan as secretary and described him as "excessively egoistic".
"For your information, I had never appointed you as my secretary. The duties given to you was that of complaints coordinator for the Batu parliamentary office," he said in a letter directed at Rozan.
The letter had since been circulated on social media.
Prakabaran said Rozan's reasons for departing were untrue.
"You should instead look at your attitude, inability to take criticism and disrespectfulness to your colleagues," he said.
In the letter, Prabakaran also raised PKR president Anwar Ibrahim's advice not to air negative statements.
However, Prabakaran also thanked Rozan for his services.
Tian Chua was the Batu MP from 2008 until 2018.
In the 14th general election, he was disqualified due to a conviction for allegedly disobeying police instructions.
Tian Chua then backed Prabakaran, who was at the time an unknown, leading to his landslide victory against BN.
He then mentored Prabakaran with his machinery assisting the new MP.
