EXCLUSIVE | MACC has arrested a PKR man in charge of its membership over alleged registration of phantom voters.
The commission's deputy chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed the arrest, saying that it was part of its probe into a report concerning the party's ongoing election.
Sources told Malaysiakini that the 31-year-old man was detained about 7pm on Friday by investigators who were probing alleged irregularities in PKR membership, where a surge of new members was registered ahead of its electoral process.
"The man is the head of PKR membership unit.
"He was picked up by MACC investigators over suspicion of registering phantom voters for its election.
"From information gathered, the activity was allegedly carried out by one of PKR factions which are contesting in the party election," said a source...
