BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today that he will consider admitting Kongres India Muslim (Kimma) into the coalition after it undergoes a rebranding exercise.
Apart from Kimma, Zahid said BN will also consider letting in other BN-friendly parties, such as Makkal Sakti and Indian Progressive Front (IPF), which have also applied to join the coalition.
"We will consider the majority voice on whether to accept them as component parties," he was quoted as saying in Berita Harian.
All three are Indian-based parties which have long been BN-friendly, but were previously not admitted into the coalition due to objections from MIC, another Indian-based party.

However, following its defeat in the 14th general election, the 13-party-strong coalition has largely disintegrated.
BN now only comprises original members Umno, MCA and MIC, while the statuses of MyPPP and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah are in contention.
Zahid made the announcement while officiating at the Kimma annual general assembly today.
Earlier, Kimma president Syed Ibrahim Kader had requested that his party be admitted into BN and given two parliamentary seats and four state seats to contest.
