BALAKONG POLLS | Pakatan Harapan candidate Wong Siew Ki has vowed to focus on improving infrastructure if she is elected as representative of the people in the Balakong state seat by-election on Sept 8.
Wong, 32, said this would be done through a collaborative effort between the people’s representatives and local authorities.
“Every region has its own problems and the main issues facing Balakong are infrastructure facilities such as damaged roads and inadequate facilities,” she told reporters after presenting residents with the Jalur Gemilang yesterday.
Wong said she also wanted to organise various community activities among the people of Balakong regardless of race to foster harmony among them.
The by-election is being held following the death of its incumbent, Eddie Ng, in a road accident on July 20.
