Former premier Najib Abdul Razak's daughter Nooryana Najwa has claimed that her personal bank account was frozen after she posted bail for her father.
"Immediately after I posted bail for my dad yesterday with funds collected from friends and relatives, my bank said they had instructions to freeze my personal account which I use to pay for my own school fees," she said in a Facebook posting this afternoon.
Nooryana claimed that her 10-month-old son's bank account was also frozen.
"(It contained) his first 'duit Raya' this year," she said.
Malaysiakini also learnt that the personal bank account of Najib's son Norashman was also frozen today.
Meanwhile, Nooryana asked if the new government was so vindictive and sought to “eliminate” her entire family.
"What does my baby's 'duit Raya' have to do with 1MDB? Is this the new Malaysia people were praying for?" she added.
Najib was arrested on Tuesday night by MACC and brought to court on Wednesday morning where he was charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT) and one count of abuse of power.
The former premier claimed trial to all the charges, which were related to the SRC International issue.
The High Court in Kuala Lumpur set bail at RM1 million and Najib was allowed to leave after his family members managed to post half of the sum.
