Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos will be charged today for resisting arrest, said Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat.
In a statement today, Fadzil said there were two outstanding warrants for Jamal's arrest in relations to two criminal cases the Umno man was facing.
On May 25, Jamal was slapped with two charges for trespass.
He absconded during the bail process at a hospital where he was receiving treatment. The arrest warrants were issued the same day.
After more than a month on the run, Jamal was arrested in South Jakarta on Monday at a barbershop.
If convicted for resisting arrest, Jamal can be jailed for a maximum of two years, possibly fined or both.
As for the trespass charges, he can be jailed for up to three years, possibly fined up to RM5,000 or both.
Jamal is expected to arrive at KLIA at 2.15pm and brought directly to the Ampang Magistrate's Court to be charged.
