The additions to Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's cabinet will be sworn in next Monday, July 2, according to Istana Negara.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V had consented to the list of ministers and deputy ministers last week and returned it to the Prime Minister's Office on Friday, the palace said in a statement.
Government sources previously told Malaysiakini that Mahathir's cabinet would be expanded to include 28 ministers.
At present, there are 13 ministers who were sworn in on May 21. They are:
Muhyiddin Yassin (Bersatu) - Home
Lim Guan Eng (DAP) – Finance
Mohamad Sabu (Amanah) - Defence
Anthony Loke (DAP) – Transport
M Kulasegaran (DAP) – Human Resources
Mazlee Malik (Bersatu) – Education
Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (PKR) – Women, Family and Community Development
Mohamed Azmin Ali (PKR) – Economic Affairs
Zuraida Kamaruddin (PKR) – Housing and Local Government
Salahuddin Ayub (Amanah) – Agriculture and Agro-based Industries
Rina Harun (Bersatu) – Rural Development
Dzulkefly Ahmad (Amanah) – Health
Gobind Singh (DAP) – Communication and Multimedia
