GE14 | BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor had sent a letter to MyPPP instructing the party to take disciplinary action against its president M Kayveas.
MyPPP deputy secretary-general Simon Sabapathy said the letter implied the party could be "asked to leave BN".
"Pursuant to a letter received from the secretary-general of BN dated April 24, the letter in no uncertain terms requested that disciplinary hearings be held with respect to the actions of Kayveas specifically breaches of MyPPP's constitution wherein Kayveas unilaterally made decisions regarding seat allocations.
"The letter dated also implies that MyPPP may be asked to leave BN," he told a press conference in Petaling Jaya today.
MyPPP senior vice-president Maglin Dennis D'cruz has been made party acting president.
MyPPP secretary-general K Mohan said that in a meeting with BN chairperson Najib Abdul Razak, it was revealed that the latter had never instructed Kayveas to work in Cameron Highlands as it was a MIC seat.
"We had the entire machinery working in Cameron Highlands. Money, time and energy spent for no reason other than to serve the needs of the president's interest in Cameron Highlands," Mohan said.
Mohan said Kayveas had also unilaterally given up other seats that MyPPP had contested in 2013 just to get Cameron Highlands.
This included the Kepong parliament seat and the Kota Laksamana state seat in Malacca, Pasir Bedamar in Perak; Kota Alam Shah in Selangor and Guchil in Kelantan.
